One problem that I had while doing this project was trying to make the lines on the objects that overlapped perfectly straight. You had to zoom out to see if it seemed to be colored correctly. If I could change one thing about the photo that I colored in, I would probably make it more bright. When I tried to do so, the colors seemed to be faked, but the picture seems to be a little dark and dull.

I decided to pick the product that I did because I thought it would be funny to make. I designed my piece by making the pattern that would fold into my box, and then putting on the labels and information. I think that the most successful thing about my box is the logo that I made. If I could change anything about the piece, I would probably add a picture of the actual product on the box.
The first cinemagraph that I created was one of my eyes moving while the rest of my face is still. This one is a little bit creepy, especially when you can see my eyelids moving. The second cinemagraph that I created was one of my dog walking on my wall. I got this idea accidentally while I was making my project. The most difficult part of this project was getting the lines straight on the second cinemagraph. Something that I would recommend for someone doing this project is for them to spend more time making the objects not have a kind a faded quality.
Squash and Stretch: stretch to show speed and mass, the volume must be the same volume the entire time, doesn't have to stretch the entire time
Anticipation: when the character prepares for an action before preforming it, make it easy for the view to know what is happening Staging: the presentation of any idea so that is is very clear, full control of where the viewer is looking, center of third, convey ideas easier Straight Ahead and Pose to Pose: animate as you go (straight ahead), do frames in between later (pose to pose), keys, extremes, breakdown poses, hierarchy Follow Through and Overlapping: objects still move after the main part of the object stops, tip should be the last to move and tip the farthest Slow In and Slow Out: objects often move slower at the very beginning and the very end Arcs: objects often move in arcs, keep x constant and modify y Secondary Action: other objects can help give the main action more details, don't let the secondary action overwhelm the main one Timing: less drawings are quicker, more drawings are slower Exaggeration: every action can be taken to the next level Solid Drawing: making sure that a figure looks more realistic, try to avoid symmetry and twinning Appeal: characters you animate should feel good to look it, dynamic design, variety of shapes, play with proportions, keep it simple, My project is more like an edible landscape. The native inhabitants of this land are the carrot people. I kind of just picked foods that thought looked like something else. I really like the broccoli forest. In order to make the piece look more realistic, I had to make the orange yellow like the sun. I had to put a mask over the cup where it meets the rocks. I also had to put the pieces of the boat together so they looked like one thing. If I could change something about the piece, it would probably be the clouds. I wanted to make it look like cotton candy, but it didn't turn out that well when I tried it.
The theme of my patterns were Emojis. I have no idea why I decided to do this, it just popped into my head after a long time of drawing random things. Of the three patterns that I have made, I think that the third one is my favorite, just because I like the heart and monster emojis that I made. One thing that I found difficult about this project was coming up with an idea. I spent the entire first day of this project trying to come up with a good idea, and I only got this one near the end of class. One thing that I would recommend to someone starting this project is to be thinking of an idea in advance.
My animal is basically a scorpion with a Venus Flytrap instead of a stinger. I am calling it the Venus Fly Scorpion (such a creative name). I don't really know how I came up with this idea. One of my biggest problems for this project was finding a good image. Finding the Venus Flytrap was extremely difficult, as the high quality photos usually had a bug inside them, or were not in the right position. Another problem that I had was with the shadow of the scorpion, and I don't think I did the best job with the new shadow. If I could change anything about my piece, it would probably be the shadow of the Flytrap, because it does not look natural at all. I would also change the color on the animal so that the tail and the flytrap are closer in color.
